TraxNYC

Most of you have probably seen the viral TraxNYC videos on Instagram. If you want the full story of what happened and who TraxNYC really is, the owner explains it himself on the podcast linked above.

I’m sharing this because it closely mirrors something we experienced ourselves.

Sigil Occult Jewelry began in March 2013. Around 2015, another company appeared offering products similar to ours. Competition is normal, but this went beyond competition. They tried to be us.

Branding, identity, reputation, even the name. At the time we were Sigil of Baphomet Satanic Jewelry, operating under SigilofBaphomet.com. They launched a nearly identical name using a dot net domain to confuse customers and siphon traffic. In the digital world, that is intentional.

This is the business equivalent of stolen valor. Taking work, credibility, and identity you did not earn, then presenting it as your own.

In 2018, that company folded. We later rebranded to Sigil Occult Jewelry while keeping our core designs, pieces we will always carry. We are the original creators operating openly under Satanism. Everything since has been expansion, not imitation.

What sets us apart is quality, craftsmanship, and integrity. Even items we do not manufacture are personally vetted to high standards while remaining accessible in price.

The TraxNYC situation is ugly, but common. It happens at every level of business. This is how it happened to us too.

What are your thoughts on the TraxNYC story, and have you seen this side of the industry yourself?

Here's a link to an old blog post regarding the OUR personal story back in March 2015.
