The Pandemic Affect

I was not sure what to call this thing that is going around. I am sure you have heard about it. The pandemic was almost over but suddenly its coming back. We are not yet clear for normalcy and our economy is experiencing new things. Shortages on supply and this thing called INFLATION.

I settled on calling this blog post the pandemic affect because there are countless number of things happening surrounding the affects of the pandemic. The most common things are shortages on products and shortages in the labor market. All the while, inflation steps in and does more damage.

This affect is going to have an impact on all businesses, big and small. Small businesses generally take a bigger hit. The common factor will remain, all companies will be affected.

Sigil of Baphomet would like to thank everyone who continues to support us and making this brand part of your life and fashion. This fall we will be experiencing the impact of inflation that is resulting from the pandemic economic woes. For most of the year, we have kept things the same and introduced new items. These were projects that were already in the works during the pandemic and were launched in the spring. However, with our ongoing designs in the works, we knew that we would likely start seeing prices increase for our productions.

The costs that we were used to seeing for items we restock would eventually go up and for new items as expected. This is typical and normal of what every company experiences in its lifetime. This is very normal and adjustments need to be made.

Compared to other companies that offer jewelry as their main product line, we intend to still remain in the realm of affordability despite any price adjustments we will be making. Keep in mind that NOT ALL products will see a price increase. There is a simple reason behind that. We can control the price at the scale that we have them our items produced. Therefore, there is no need for change there, at least, not this time. For other items, it's unfortunate that we cannot control the production costs because we have to account the variety of talent involved and sometimes we require outside sources to assist us in bringing the complete package together in the end.

It's not as simple as one man job. Its's a group of people, doing their part, and of course, our technology. Technological advances to produce the details and means for creating products is what changes the game in our market. That is partly why I often say, doing what I do is not so easy. It just simply isn't. Another thing to consider, this type of talent requires salaries and wages. To keep the people we have requires a livable wage and I do believe I need not make a case about it if you have not already seen this in the news media.

Furthermore, the United States Postal Service has recently increased their rates on shipping and it is being said that there is yet another price increase expected this fall. Of course, not everyone is happy with all these prices increases on all fronts but we are experiencing a change our economy. This is a cycle that often repeats itself throughout a lifetime. Its not just a generational thing but more or less a thing that occurs about every 10-20 years. Life happens and adjustments need to be made.

I write this blog to simply express that some changes are happening with this site too. Mainly the prices are getting a much needed adjustment but we want to stay within the realm of affordability and without compromised on the quality. This will mean that we will be in production for similar products that may be produced in new sizes to accommodate those that love what we offer but would want something at a price that is reasonable for them. Essentially, we will be offering varying items at different price points.

This is just one of the things we are going to start working on this fall and beyond. We will continue to keep introducing new items and we plan to fulfill items that were lacking in other categories that are not relative to Satanism in general. Part of what every company experiences is growth and by growth, that means expanding into other categories. If you have not already noticed, our social media content has already shown signs of evolving. No longer doing posts that are semi-political or in support of specific organizations. We have supported many in the past and we wish to continue some in the future but will likely not hear much about our ongoing projects unless they wish to disclose it.

I realize that many followers on our social media probably miss engaging more with discussions and so forth, however, this page was never meant to be a political page or any agenda to gain support by those means. We are a product based company that supports many other companies in the real of Satanism, Occult, Pagan, or Goth culture communities. There is more that I can add to the list but I am sure you get the point.

We will always be a Satanic product company first but understand that it is important for us to grow. This is what is essential to stay relevant and to keep supporting communities that have shared interests in what we offer in our product line. Change is inevitable. We are here to stay all thanks be to YOU.

Now you have GOTH jewelry companies adopting Baphomet as part of their jewelry designs too. Then there's those that want to mimic my style. They say you should model your business to those that are successful but they apparently didn't get the memo on being creative and unique on your own instead of literally copying someone else's style. Regardless of that, we have more than anyone else can ever offer. The experience you get when you get your products from us. We will grow into other categories over the course of time and of course, despite the economic woes out there, we will remain fair and offer something for everyone.
